George Washington is probably the most famous person from the American Revolution. He was selected to be the Commander and Chief of the Continental Army. He was also elected as the president of the United States for two terms. He lead the army during many battles in the revolution like Yorktown and Trenton. Washington was a part of several Continental Conventions.
George was also a British captain during the French-Indian war. He was liked by pretty much everyone until the end of his second term; he made very controversial decisions regarding Jay's treaty and the Whiskey Rebellion. He left office at the turn of the century to a quiet life atop Mt. Vernon until he died a few years later. Washington probably left the biggest mark on american history during the first 100 years of the country.

Founding Brothers was about the relationship between the founding fathers, they are very similar to brothers; Founding Brothers. The first two were Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, they were rivals and the rivalry was climaxed with the famous duel. Chapter two was about the dinner where Alex Hamilton, James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson. The Silence was about Benjamin Franklin and the slavery issue prior to the Civil War. Washington's Farwell Adress was the next chapter, this was Washington's final message to America. The next chapter was the race for president #2. The final chapter was about the friendship between the second and third president of the United States. This book was a slow crawl through the political landscape of the 1790s.

Since Joseph Ellis wrote a nonfiction story, every event in the book actually happened during this time period. Hamilton and Burr's famous duel, Jefferson's dinner party, the slave debate of the 1790s, Washington's Farewell Address to the American people, the race for the second president, and Adam's friendship with Thomas Jefferson. All of these things are somewhat historical events and the “adventures” of the founding brothers in the early years of independent America.

Mr. Alexander Hamilton is a smart but headstrong boy. He thinks too highly of himself and little of others. He has a particular disdain toward a Thomas Jefferson. He is an independent, relatively mature for his age, and a 4.0 student. He is a natural leader and will fight for his beliefs and values. He is very hard working and will do whatever nescessary to get whatever he needs to do done. He, however, is not quite suited to people well and will struggle in that part of college. Other than his social ability he is easily well-prepared for college.

We chose The Liberty Song because the book “Founding Brothers” is about the American government after Liberty. It also matches the tone of Ellis' book, boring. The song is revolutionary style. It is a pretty good match to the overall feel you get when reading about the conflicts displayed in the book. As you listen to the song, certain events from the book pop into your mind.
