To play the game you have a large number of people line up. The person on the end of one side of the line comes up with a phrase and whispers it to the next person without letting anybody else hear it. That person then whispered it to the next person in line without letting anybody else hear it. This continues until the end of the line at which point in time dear last person that was whispered the phrase says it out loud. Usually, that phrase is very different from the one which the person at the front of the line came up with. This happens because every time a phrase transfers from one person to another they have a chance of making a mistake. The combination of all of these small mistakes build up into one big mistake and an ultimately unrecognizable phrase.
