Marlin and Doug try to make sure Lucy does not get reminded of the car accident and her brain injury because she goes in a manic episode. However, things change after Henry tries to break the routine.

"I love this movie. Although it features Sandler's cheesy comedic formula, the film offers a complex presentation of trust, personal character, and basic human goodness. For myself, I find the relationship between Sandler and the father compelling."

Henry, throughout the movie, was going on dates with multiple women; however, when he meets Lucy things change. Henry seems to have strong feelings for Lucy and wants a relationship with her. Now, Henry has to persuade Lucy's father and older brother that he has nothing but good intentions.

50 First Dates is a movie that is about a women, named Lucy, that survived a car accident. The car accident happened on her father's birthday. They hit a tree and left Lucy with a brain injury. Lucy now suffers with short-term memory loss and cannot remember any new information from the accident. Lucy later falls in love with a man named Henry. Now, Henry has to remind Lucy everyday who he is and how she fell in love with him.
