Students will learn and utilize the elements of a map and point out various locations familiar to them (for the sake of getting to know the students better and using that in a lesson), describing their geographical land forms/characteristics. They will then compare them to other places on the map describing whether they are North, South, Etc. to utilize the skill they just learned.
