Troy Maxson was morally ambiguous in that he was hard-working yet hard-hearted. He was persistent, yet complacent; loyal for the most part, yet deceptive for his own purposes; honest at times, but too brutal when he was. Troy had many different sides and his family experienced all of them. They got the best and the worst. He was the provider and giver, and the taker and the hindrance at the same time. All in all, Troy was a fairly average man, with good intentions, scarred by the past and his life's circumstances, which often showed more in his decisions and behavior than the good.

Troy was a very realistic man that made him a morally ambiguous character. Troy's realistic quality was bad because he technically ruined his sons hopes and dreams because of his view on the reality of becoming a professional football player. On the other hand his realistic characteristics helped lead his son in the right direction because the reality of becoming a professional athlete is very slim, and since Troy pushed Cory to find something more realistic, Cody became a man in the United States Marines. His role in the family was very important because basically he was the "leader" of the house and was in charge of everyones life, even Troy's wife sacrificed her life to be with Troy and just listen to his rules.

Troy Maxson is morally ambiguous in the ways that he is hard working but yet he is selfish. His role was to bring in money for the house and be "the man of the house", but yet the things he is doing behind his wife's back, those things don't make him "the man of the house."

Troy Maxson was a man who spoke his mind and then some. He provided for his family but sometimes forgot that though he is selfless he is also selfish and it hurts those that he loves. In the family, Troy did what he could to keep his family morally happy even if it meant that his family had to suffer in a way. He did harm but meant none.

I feel what makes Troy a morally ambiguous character is his good intentions. Even though he may seem to be stubborn and cold-hearted, he meant no harm to the ones he loved. He just wanted the best for his family and didnt want them to experience the hardships he had to face. He may not have expressed his emotions in the best way and was insensitive to others but all he wanted was for his family to succeed this what puts him in that grey area of the good and bad spectrum.

Troy Maxson was a man with many different qualities which made him a morally ambiguous character because of the way he does thing for example he knew he was evil at some times with decisions he made like, cheating on his wife rose and having a child with the women who cheated on her with, but him admitting to that showed that he does have some good in him. the qualities of him standing up to his bosses and finally driving the trash truck was a good thing but then his bad qualities would kick in with him not letting his son play football and not signing the paper so he could go to the big school to play football. but at the end of the day he knew that death was coming for him and that he told himself he would be ready for it. In conclusion, troy was a ambiguous character because of how his qualities balanced

Troy was a unpredictable character. Although he had both good and bad qualities, it didn't predict what he would do next. Troy didn't mind supporting certain dreams as long as they were what he wanted. he supported his family and took care of them. Although he never took the time to let people talk and hear other people talk so he assumed everything and pretty much thought of it. His role in the family was to support and raise the family as his responsibility. He didn't care too much about liking or such because taking care of a family is more of a responsibility.

Qualities that make Troy Maxson an ambiguous character is how practical and realistic. His role as a dad in the movie was very harsh, especially towards his son. Not only did he want his son to not follow his footsteps and get a real job, but being harsh and strict to his son cause their relationship to go down hill. Although he was very blunt and straight forward, this caused the son to grow up with morals.

troy maxson was a man with characteristics and was looked at differently by others when he was trying to better others. Troy seeks after the wrong course in attempting to help Cory, it's as yet clear that he tends to his child in his broke way. Troy's awful association with his child can be followed back to his own particular association with his dad. Troy loathed his dad, who was mean and didn't demonstrate any adoration to him, however kept by his family because of an awareness of other's expectations, which is formed into Troy's character.
