Eventually, guide them to learn sustainably, whilst reassuring them there is a teacher at sight they could go to for any advice. Equally important, to let them know knowledge is not static, it will change with time (therefore the role of sustainable learning).

Both teachers and learners should aim for developing knowledge, clinical skills and professional skills ( a professional who has the knowledge and can be a life long learner and able to update and criticise their own Knowledge, knows how to put the knowledge into practice in the right way (evidence based) and has the attitudes and ethics that enables them to work effectively.



 


• What do you value about your role as an educator?


 I value that it can make a change, even if a small one and It makes me feel I have self efficacy.


• What role(s) should learners play within the educational process?


 learners should have an active role while the curriculum map is designed, maybe through surveys or representatives. In addition to regular feedback which needs to be facilitated by the organisational bodies.

learnes should also be active learners and engage with the leaming opportunities and share in creating opportunities as well.



• What qualities and skills should an effective educator have?


a positive role model

mentalising skills, able to understand how they process things & their cognitive biases as well as being able to see things from the point of view of others.

an effective leader.

up to date with the subject they are teaching and willing to learn from others including their students.


 


• What role should society/the public and other stakeholders (e.g. governing bodies, etc.) have on curriculum development and delivery?

share their views on what is beneficial for the community, include the views of the experts by experience. investing in what matters ( which is a debatable topic). Ensuring safe spaces for sharing views are present and safe environment for learning

 


• What kinds of knowledge/skills should we be teaching students? (e.g. self-knowledge, academic knowledge, practical skills, spiritual development, citizenship, etc.)
