Juno - the main character

Juno MacGuff is 16 years old, and lives in Elk River in Minnesota. Juno has dark hair, is not that tall, wears baggy close in dark/neutral colors. She got pregnant with her best friend Paulie, and when she finds out, she didn't know how tell Paulie, so she just said it right infont of him. Juno needs to make a very hard decision: if she wants to keep the baby and be a very young mother, or get an abortion. She decide to get an abortion. When she told her dad and stepmom, that she was pregnant, they helped her getting an abortion. She went to "woman now", but when she got there, she didn't want to give up her baby anyway. Juno and her best friend Lea looked in the newspaper, to see if someone wanted to adopt Juno's baby.

Paulie - the father to Juno's baby

Paulie is 17 years old, and he is the father to Juno´s baby. He has brown hair, he is tall, he wears natural colors and he is a part of the "high school track" that means that he runs all the time. Paulie is in love with Juno, but Juno doesn't get that. He don´t know what to do when Juno is visiting him - also because his mother doesn't like her. He isn't really a part of Juno's time as being pregnant. His mother is a little bit overprotective, but it's just because that she loves her son. After nine months Juno finally tells Paulie that she thinks, she is in love with him. Every time that she sees him, the baby starts to kick in her belly - because her hart starts to beat faster. They end up give up for adoption to Vanessa, and Paulie and Juno were finally together and being happy.

Vanessa and Mark - the parents to Juno's baby

Mark and Vanessa is a happily married couple. Vanessa can't get pregnant, so they really wants to adopt a baby. Juno and Lea finds Vanessa and Mark in the newspaper, and Juno took the chance, and took contact to the couple. Vanessa is beautiful, have darkblond hair, a good style and really wants to be a mother. Mark is tall, have brown hair, a childish style and loves playing guitar. One day where Vanessa wants to paint the baby's room, they couldn´t decide which tone of yellow, it should be. I think, that it was there, Mark found out that he wasn´t ready to become a father. An other day when Juno was over - and Vanessa wasn´t home - he said to Juno, that he wants to break up with Vanessa. Right after that he asked Juno, what she thought about him - not like in the friendly way. Juno said, that he couldn´t do that against Vanessa but just a few minutes later came Vanessa home. She new that something was wrong. Mark said to Vanessa that he don´t wanted to be with her anymore, and that he wants to live his life, like he wanted it to be. Vanessa was sad, and a few days later Mark and Vanessa were divorced. The same day it rang on the door. It was a note from Juno, and it said: Vanessa. If you are in, then I am in too. Vanessa ended up being a mother, but without Mark by her side.

Juno - the name

Juno was a goddess in the Roman empire. Juno was the God for family, women's fertility and parturient women's. I think that in the start, Juno's parents gave her the name, because is was a name after a God. But now I think, that she got name Juno, because she was only 16, when she got pregnant. The movie production made it look like an accident, but it defiantly is not.

Change/development

I really thinks that Juno and Paulie are changed after she got pregnant, and she gave birth. She learned, that she loved Paulie, and that she wants to be with him. Paulie learned to trust her/Juno and himself. They are now much more open for each other, and they know that they can trust each other too. Her father and stepmother - Bren - also changed in the movie, after Juno got pregnant. They both learned to be parents to someone, who also are going to be a parent in a way too young age - according to the father and Bren. Bren found out, or showed it a lot more than she normally do, that she loved Juno and are taking care of her. Vanessa learned, that she needs to follow her dream being a mother, and that she can do it without Mark by her side. Mark learned, that he haven't lived his life like the way he wanted it. All these things and changes were because of Juno's pregnancy.

Love

If we start with the love between Juno and Paulie: They were best friends - which also is a kind of love - but then Juno got pregnant, and Paulie saw Juno in a different and more lovely way, than Juno saw Paulie. But in the end, they found their real love in each other. Vanessa and Mark were married, and had a great time being husband and wife, but Vanessa wanted a baby so hard, and Mark didn't. They ended up being divorced, and Vanessa adopted Juno's baby. Juno's father and Juno's stepmother also fall in love with each other, after Juno's real mother turned her back on her. Bren and the father had been together for 10 years, when Juno were about to give birth. The last one is the love and care Bren gives to Juno, while she see the pictures from the ultra scan - and also when Juno is at the hospital and about to give birth, she call a nurse in to help her daughter.

A review

A 16-years old girl named Juno gets pregnant with her best friend Paulie. Juno don´t wants to be pregnant so she planed to get an abortion. But she changes her mind. She wants to give up for adoption to Vanessa and Mark - a married couple she found in the newspaper. everything were going perfect until Mark got cold feeds and broke up with Vanessa. Vanessa was so sad and mad at Mark because her dream finally were about to come true - to be a real mother to a real child. Juno was also sad but she wrote a note to Vanessa that said "if you're still in, I^´m still in". that gave Vanessa a new hope. Juno finally finds out that she is really in love with Paulie and they also end up together. Juno gave birth but neider her or Paulie didn't want to see the baby.

I thinks that it is a good movie - first of all. In the beginning I was a bit sceptical but after we came longer and longer with Juno's pregnancy it really caught me. So I will give the movie 4 out of 5 stars. Because it was a good movie but not really my type of movies to watch.

Adoption

To adopt someone can both be humans and animals. An example could be someone like Vanessa who can´t get pregnant, but really wants to be a mother. If someone who is pregnant, and don´t want to get an abortion or be a mother (like Juno), then they can give up for adoption. But a minus for the most of the child's when they grow up, an found out that (for escapable that Vanessa) isn't your real mother/parents then you get sad, mad and don´t know how to react.

Teen pregnancy

To be a parent as a teenage girl isn´t easy at all. You are not fully ready yet or grownup, to be a real mother. You maybe not even know anything about it, if your parents haven't told you anything, because they are mad or something. If you just really wants a child asap, and you aren´t that old, and if you are mentally ready/prepared - then I think, you should for it. But it can also be "dangerous" for you, if you already have gave birth, and you then regret it. Then you get sad and don´t know what to do. Of cause you can gave up for abortion, but it wound be easy, neither for you or your baby.

Don´t judge a book by its cover...

Juno: She get judged because she is heavily pregnant, and she goes in highschool. People might think, that she only wants boys and the attention about being pregnant.

Paulie: He get judged because he made Juno pregnant. Also because they aren´t together as a couple - until the last part of her pregnancy. He maybe also get judged by his look - with the short yellow shorts and yellow headband.

The father: He maybe get judged at work if he tells, that his 16-years old daughter is 9 month pregnant. It will make him look bad as a father, because he can't take care of his own daughter.

The stepmother: She get judged by her reaction to Juno being pregnant. She looks mad all the time, and she take too much care of her own child - and not of Juno.

Vanessa: Maybe she get judged, if somebody think, that she is taking away Juno's baby. (If they don´t know that she can't get pregnant, and that Juno doesn't want the baby.) But she also can get judged, because she keeps the big and beautiful house, and Mark needs to move out, and find a new place to live.

Mark: He can get judged by his style of close. But it could also be because he apparently isn't ready, to be a real dad or take care of a baby. He also can get judged by make a pass at Juno, because he is an all grownup, and Juno is only 16 years old.
