Step 1: incident (essence of the issue)

The issue was... we are all strong characters and all took on our own roles within the group and not working as a cohesive team.

We thought it was going well, but when we had the meeting with our seminar teacher we were given a shock as we realised we were all acting on our own and she pointed out our presentation was not linking.

Step 2: who, what, when, where, why and how?

Who: the 'group and i' not working as a team 🤫

What: the non correlating presentation we made 🤦🏻‍♂️

When: week 5 seminar📆

Where: meeting to go over the work (draft)📝

Why: the issue was misunderstanding the communication and efficiency as working together.😅

How:

We ended up like this?🤨

We only had a couple of meetings since the initial contract and first seminar and we all focused upon the parts/ roles we decided to partake in the group.

We are overcoming this?🤔

We have over come this by having a meeting directly after the session in week 5 and using the constructive critism to sit down and discuss how we are going to set out the presentation. How we are going to link it into a story almost for the audience and to cut out any unnecessary information.

Conclusion:
From having seen what direction we were headed towards, we can now work much more efficiently. I believe it is a team effort so by not noticing this attention to detail and knowing where we are going I will be reading along the lines here. We were lucky enough to receive the critical criticisms rather than a sugar coated you're doing it wrong 😁

He had another pace of work and got stressed because he thought it wasn’t enough done for the mock presentation and he left us. Next time we need to adapt to diffferent people’s pace of work and try to explain that there is no need to rush and put pressure.

1)The incident that occurred happened occurred to myself over last weekend . This occurred where I felt that I failed to manage my time in producing enough work . Although it was not a massive issue , it still lead to me having to loose sleep over work which could be done at a more appropriate time concluding to a point that if I were to be more responsible ; this issue might have not been apparent . This also could affect communications in the team such as them having to wait for me. Therefore in the future I should be more aware of these issues as it would not be a good trait to have especially when this is and will affect my work ethic in the future.

For the case of the group work overall , we were very cohesive with our work and have no issues between one and another . However there are always ways to improve and in this case it could be team chemistry . Having a better chemistry would help work be run more efficiently , because of this the group could try to get to know each other outside university and work environments to “break the ice” between individuals . As for an example there can be a shy student within the group . Because of this sort of personality , it can be very hard to get that member to contribute as they may be less vocal towards presenting their opinion . Therefore getting to know one another to be more comfortable around one another can help in team chemistry .
