They are more expensive to grow than normal strawberries and they aren't widely advertised. This makes the funding a bit harder to find since most people don't even know they exist. Since they are so expensive there is also only a little research on them; so we don't know to much about the side affects. The best case scenario is that these strawberries take up a lot less space. You could save farming space and grow more but only if your willing to pay the price. Also one of the genetic modifications includes a gene from a peanut. That could put a lot of people in danger. Peanut allergies are very common so that could cause a lot of problems.

They don't have enough proof and evidence regarding the matter, so people are still skeptical. The fact that there are also more people supporting organic and vegan things also adds to the point. One other thing is that there could be the problem of people thinking it goes against religion because it's not natural. Many people have strong opinions about genetically modified food. It has helped productivity on farms. It ends up boosting the amount of crops grown and harvested. This also adds into sustainably feeding the growing population. The possibilities are almost endless. The affect GMO foods have on the environment is actually pretty good. By making use of the space they are planted in, there is no need to cut down more forests to leave space to grow more food. Also if you can change the genetics of a plant to keep bugs away, there will be no need for pesticides. This can improve the health of the plant and the farmers taking care of it. 

Ethical:
There is a pretty big negative impact on the ethical aspect of GMO foods. Lots of people think that it's not right. Since it is genetically modified it becomes unnatural and there fore bad. Lots of religious people, mostly the ones that believe in the christian god, think that god doesn't want us to mess with these things. To help solve problems like, the world running out of food, world hunger, environmental issues, deforestation. If you really think about it there are a lot of good things coming from GMO's.
