         <description><![CDATA[<div>When will we be consulted on our pedagogy and how that will be accommodated in new learning spaces?<br>When will we be consulted on our teaching preferences?<br>What about staff satisfaction... There is a risk we will be forced to take a job teaching in areas we are not comfortable in and therefore staff morale and job satisfaction will be affected.<br>When and how will curriculum mapping take place? Textbook access? Class novels? <br>What in-class ESO support will continue?<br>What diagnostic tests can we continue doing e.g. MYAT, PAT to help us support student learning?<br>How is the timetable going to be constructed eg compulsory language in year 9? Electives? Equal access to typically gendered subjects e.g. Food tech and textiles and wood tech?<br>Just what classes are segregated?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Facilities...will we be teaching in transportables in 2019?</div><div>Staff room space?</div><div>Staff study/work spaces?</div><div>IPads?</div><div>Do we get given chrome book (and PD on how to use it)?</div><div>What technology will we be using at Marymount in the next couple of years (eg iPads vs chrome books)</div><div>Marymount staff need proper consultation about any building works, renovations, new building etc. </div><div>What facilities and resources can we take (including filing cabinets, sewing machines, kitchen, scientific and musical instruments etc)</div><div>Healthy eating in the canteen??</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Questions on teaching and learning-  staff forum<br><br>Research has proven middle school and single gender classes proven successful. What provisions will be made for single gender classes?<br><br>MArymount/SHCM with different pedagogical understanding, where do we start? Different starting points this is a concern.<br><br>Pedagogy discussions around iPad and chrome books is important, has this IT decision been made or will the consultation process be honored?<br><br>Single gender classes? Which and what/ subjects? Year level considerations?<br>What will class sizes be?<br><br>Marymount has a more instrumental/orchestral program this needs to be a focus to be inclusive of all, as girls instrumental choices are different and supported.<br><br>Parents at the forums were concerned about continued rigour, programs, planned activities, excursions etc will these continue 2018 and beyond. Staff also echo these concerns at Marymount forum today.<br><br>Is this information going to be considered?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Questions on other/ facilities-  staff forum<br><br>How much collaboration or consultation in the design and process will Marymount staff have.  Can you release the draft plan for buildings so we can feed back changes.<br><br>Music area - SHC is sub standard.  Will this be improved to support a more orchestral focus as well as greater numbers of girls learning and wider range of instruments? <br><br>Instrumental tutors from Marymount to come over as well?<br><br>Will the music room be located on the ground to facilitate better access and movement of bulky and heavy orchestral instruments without injury to staff and students - perhaps a 2 tonne hydrolic lift.  Also a close carpark for carting equipment to and from the instrument repairs shop as orchestral instruments need continual maintenance.</div>]]></description>

         <title>An Arts Perspective Facilities:  Room size for use and suitability needs discussion                                                                                                                                        Access to rooms for equipment and specific specialty needs – large musical instruments.	                                                                                                                          All new facilities to be built for specialist areas and girls? Or will we be using the existing Middle school facilities?                                                                                        Girls toilets – where?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            What about all our school art and commissioned sculptures?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Are the facilities up to the demands of our established learning pedagogy and co-curricular programmes – e.g space for instruments, access, grand piano and timpani, other?  Safety in manual handling a big issue – especially the music area lugging items upstairs (new ground floor and/or a large lift).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Instrument storage – more instruments - will there be enough space?                                                                                                                                                        Additional instrumental teaching space for all the additional music tutors                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Will the music tutors also be invited to come across as they know the girls and also have a strong connection to the feeder schools!  It’s also a large part of their income.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Resources???  Their future . . . ?  Until end of 2018 and beyond?  Need these up until the school closes!                                                                                                  What’s going with us?    We have very different music programmes and the excellence the girls have developed will disappear!  SHC music programme doesn&#39;t support the same goals and mission in music                                                                                                                                                                                                          Where is the specific drama space??  Storage and resources and other?                                                                                                                                                                 Dance teacher. . . . ?  Middle school taught by senior dance teacher?  Any need for a teacher from Marymount?  Same for all specialist teachers . . . are we needed?????  EXTREMELY WORRIED and ANXIOUS about this.                                                                                                                                                                                  What about our resources – we need to know NOW. . . e.g. grand piano, other.  Kept here, sold to fund or relocated?	                                                                                 We would like to see the draft building plans for suggested improvements for specific specialist learning areas and their associated needs.                                          Other concerns or questions?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Single gender or mixed for arts areas?                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Drama prefers Year 7 and 8 as single gender. . . due to confidence and boys dominating                                                                                                                                 Music tutors – all looking for other work now.  We could lose some very good instructors if no assurance is given soon.  How will we staff this in a school with 2 years to go!  No one will see it as a viable position to work in. . . . </title>
