The benefits of copyright laws is that it protects the products of a company and the profits which will lead to more investment which will lead to better quality. the disadvantages of copyright laws is that is the laws are complicated and can be outdated some people will ignore them. An example of where copyright would be used in the media is when you have a TV show and you don't want it on streaming sites. Websites that breach copyright law are ones like 123 Movies. Joanna Yeates was strangled to death on 17th December 2010 after having a night out with friends. Her murder, Vincent Tabak, was sentenced to life imprisonment and a minimum term of 20 years. 
Christopher Jefferies was fasly arrested on the thought that he had murdered joanna yeates and the media made him out to be a bad man. he had to stay in hiding and have cahnegd the way he looks because of some of the remarks made about him.
