- Hermia is to be wedded to Demetrius yet is in love with Lysander

- She argues against her father about the marriage of which she is then given 3 choices by Theseus: To marry Demetrius, to become a nun, to die

- She plans to run away with Lysander out of town

Act 2 Scene 2

- Hermia and Lysander fall asleep in the woods

- She dreams that a snake ate her heart as Lysander sat and smiled

- She wakes up to find Lysander gone and assumes he has died but searches for him

Act 3

- Hermia accuses Demetrius of killing Lysander and he denies

- She comes back to see both Lysander and Demetrius holding Helena

- She is in denial as Lysander tells her he loves Helena but begins to realize as he scolds her

- She and Helena get into a cat fight

- Helena runs away and she chases

- She tires out and falls asleep

Act 4

- Hermia and the lovers are found by Theseus and Hippolyta and they all recall to have the same dream

- Her and Lysander are to be wedded

- Lysander is in love with Hermia as so is she

- He is disapproved by her father Egeus yet is as equal to and maybe even better than Demetrius

- He has an Aunt out of town where him and Hermia plan to run away and be free

Act 2 Scene 2

- Lysander and Hermia fall asleep in the woods

- He wakes up to Helena who he falls in love with, he claims that he has grown and reason made him fall in love with her

Act 3

- He and Helena run into Demetrius who wakes up and is now in love with Helena

- Hermia is in denial when Lysander persists on not loving her until she eventually realizes it

- He and Demetrius run out into the woods to fight

- He tires out and falls asleep after searching for Demetrius

- Puck uses the antidote on him

Act 4

- Lysander and the lovers are found by Theseus and Hippolyta and they all recall to have the same dream

- He is to be wedded to Hermia

- He is awaken by Helena and Lysander and falls in love with Helena

- Demetrius and the lovers are found by Theseus and Hippolyta and they all recall to have the same dream

- She aspires to have Hermia's qualities as this is what interests Demetrius

- She follows Demetrius throughout the woods and begs for his love

- She continues to follow Demetrius but is ditched by him and spots Lysander and wakes him up, where he falls in love with her

- She questions his love and accuses him of mocking her

Act 3

- Helena and Lysander find Demetrius and he falls in love with her

- She accuses Lysander and Demetrius of teaming up to mock her

- Hermia arrives and Helena accuses her of being in on the mockery and feels betrayed over their sisterhood

- Helena and Hermia get into a cat fight

- She runs away from Hermia

- She tires out and falls asleep

Act 4

- Helena and the lovers are found by Theseus and Hippolyta and they all recall to have the same dream

- She and Demetrius are to be wedded

Act 1

-Has given Hermia a dilemma of 3 choices: be a nun, marry Demetrius, or die

Act 4

- Theseus and Hippolyta grow closer

- He and Hippolyta find the lovers on the ground of the forest

- He decides to reject Egeus' request and decides to have a triple wedding - Himself and Hippolyta, Demetrius and Helena, and Lysander and Hermia

Act 5

- Theseus and Hippolyta grow closer, they are showing affection

- Theseus chooses the mechanicals play for entertainment

Queen of the Amazons (warrior race of only women)

Engaged to Theseus (via losing battle)

Act 1

-She is very clearly upset about the engagement

-She symboled Hermia with the sign of womanhood (upside down cross)

Act 4

- Hippolyta and Theseus seem to spark

- She gets her bow back and along with Theseus finds the lovers on the ground in the woods

Act 5

- Hippolyta and Theseus grow closer showing affection

- Hippolyta and someone who works under Theseus have tension as he displays his dislike and jealousy of her to which she rubs it off

King of the Fairies

Married to Titania

Act 2

- Oberon and Titania argue and he mentions her past with Theseus, and he is exposed to have one with Hippolyta

- Oberon desires for the little changeling boy to be his henchman

- Oberon sends Puck to find a flower that had been shot by cupid's bow and now acts as a love potion, he plans to use it on Titania so that she falls in love with an animal

- He eavesdrops on Helena and Demetrius

- Puck returns with the flower and Oberon sends him to use it on Demetrius, who he describes as the man in Athenian clothing, in order to fall in love with Helena

2.2

- Oberon uses the flower on Titania while she sleeps

Act 3 Scene 2

- Oberon appears and Puck retells of what he did, they kiss

- He and Puck witness Hermia and Demetrius arguing and realizes Puck's mistake and send him to find Helena

- He puts the potion on Demetrius' eyes

- He orders Puck to tire out Lysander and Demetrius in order to get them to sleep and use the antidote

Act 4

- Oberon appears and states that he now has the changeling

- He reflects and gives the antidote to Titania

- They are happily in love again and decide to bless Theseus' wedding

Act 5

- Titania and Oberon bless the marriages as the others dance

Queen of fairies

Married to Oberon

Act 2

- Titania and Oberon argue and she mentions his past with Hippolyta while Oberon brings up her past with Theseus

- Titania talks about the effects that their arguments have on the seasons, crops, and natural disasters

- Titania denies Oberon's request as the changeling's mother had a close connection to her but died as she was a mortal

2.2

- Titania falls asleep in the woods with fairy lullaby

Act 3

- Titania is woken up by Nick Bottom's singing and falls in love with him, she bribes him with fairy servants, jewels, and immortality in order to make him stay

Act 4

- Titania falls asleep with Nick

- She is given the antidote and renews her love with Oberon, they decide that they will bless Theseus' wedding

Act 5

- Oberon and Titania bless the marriages as the others dance

Act 2

- Puck and a fairy open up the act, they talk of how Puck is known to be mischievous and that Oberon wants the little Indian changeling that Titania cares for

- Puck is sent for the flower with cupid's effect on it and returns it to Oberon

2.2

- Puck puts the flower on Lysander's eyes, mistaking him for Demetrius as he wore Athenian clothing and is sleeping far apart from Hermia

Act 3 Scene 2

- Puck tells Oberon about what he did and they kiss

- Puck realizes his mistake as they witness Hermia and Demetrius arguing and is sent to find Helena

- Puck returns along with Helena and Lysander

- Puck runs into the woods using the voices of Demetrius and Lysander and tires them out by confusing them

- He uses the antidote on Lysander

Act 4

- Puck arrives with Oberon and makes Nick Bottom normal again

Act 5

- Puck concludes the actual play with a speech suggesting the audience think of it all as a dream and apologizes in case the audience did not enjoy the play

Act 1 Scene 2

- He is assigned the role of Pyramus in the play 'Death of Pyramus and Thisbe'

Act 3

- The rude mechanicals meet in the woods

- Nick suggests a prologue to make the audience aware that the deaths nor the lion are real, as well as someone display moonlight as the man on the moon and someone else play the wall

- Puck turns him into a donkey, he is unaware

- He is left alone in the woods as the other mechanicals get frightened of him

- Titania falls in love with him due to potion and persuades him to stay with servant fairies, jewels, and immortality

Act 4

- Bottom is neglectful of Titania even under the love spell

- He falls asleep

- He is turned back into normal and declares it all a dream, he is inspired to make a ballet of what he dreamt

4.2

- Bottom returns to the mechanicals and they are delighted to get on with the play

The Director

Act 1 Scene 2

- He assigns the rest of the mechanicals their roles within the play 'Death of Pyramus and Thisbe'

Act 3

- The rude mechanicals meet in the woods

- They are scared off and run away leaving Nick Bottom, as his head had been turned into a donkey

Act 4 Scene 2

- Peter and the rest of the mechanicals are sad that Bottom is gone and cannot do the play

- They become delighted as Bottom returns to them

Act 5

- Their play is chosen, but the set up is misinterpreted to be part of the act as it is so chaotic

- Peter gets stage fright and messes up his prologue

- As the prologue was quite lengthy, it seemed as if they preformed the play but they are yet to

- They perform in chaos and dance with the other characters
