To grant the availability of a considerable number of vaccines and its access through the Colombian territory.

What are the challenges or risks?
One challenge is that the demand of vaccines surpasses the capacity of the State to distribute them. Additionally, that the process of selection gets corrupted by political forces, transforming the health issue into a political issue. Also, that during the distribution process the protocols and basic conditions are not properly followed.

What type of interpedendence is involved?
In this case, there might be symbiotic interdependence between the State and the pharmaceuticals, where both actors might be benefited with a good vaccination process, and the pharmaceuticals work as suppliers for the State. Additionally, there is an interdependence with the population, where both depend on each other during the vaccination process.

What strategy can be applied to address this interdependence?
A good strategy would be the privatization of the vaccination process. Also, transparency with the information delivered to different actors might help the vaccination process to be more efficient. In this way, the Colombian population would have more freedom of decision, because if they have the economic resources to buy the vaccine from a private company, they would not have to depend on the State to receive the vaccine.

Our goal is to apply the vaccine the fastest and most effective way possible because because since we're in a pandemic we most move fast to create immunity. This is also a scarce resource so managing the dosis is vital.
2. The main risk is held by the medical staff in charge of applying the vaccines because of their constant exposure to the virus since they have regular and close contact with a lot of people. Also, a great challenge the local clinics have to face is managing the logistics involved in the vaccination such as place, order and staff training.
3. Symbiotic Interdependence: we have interdependence between the suppliers and distributors because once the vaccine arrives to Colombia there's not competition between other clinics.
4. Long term contracts with the government and other clinics because this is a scarce resource so it must be shared efficiently so that everyone can receive a dosis and reputation alliances with the suppliers since they are international.
