I always enjoyed hanging out with my friends outside.

I loved playing on the slide, monkey bars, swings, balance bar, etc. I represented this by taking multiple photos of me on my favorite places on the playground and superimposing them together is Photoshop. I had to carefully consider the placement of the camera, the manual adjustments of ISO, shutter speed and aperture. Then I cut myself out of each picture and placed it on top of an empty picture. There were some small misalignments so I then used the eraser and stamp tool to fix these errors.

The videos of the first person view are to represent my dad catching the ball and me showing how far I could throw the ball when I was younger. The pictures are to show the distances and give a better look at how far the distances actually are. The song is the song my dad and I used to listen to before my baseball games. The pictures of me in my baseball uniform correspond to the year they were from according to the distance year before it.

(Hafeeza Mughal)
This piece depicts my transition to an advanced brown belt karate so many years ago. During the weekend long assessment, I was evaluated on my fighting ability, technique, and knowledge of Japanese ceremonial culture. To represent my fighting skill I punched large pieces of white paper, which created the rugged edges and holes. The colors behind the white paper represent my past belts, as well as the experiences and lessons I gained through each step. I orientated the colors around the black center to emphasize the importance and honor of becoming a black belt, as well as to symbolize how each belt contributes to achieving black belt status. Finally, the fact that the colors and damaged white paper are all consolidated into one area, speaks the cultural component of the process. Unity and harmony of different components of nature and life, is a major idea in Japanese culture that I learned. So, despite the rough edges and years of hard work leading up to this assessment, there is still something to be learned and appreciated: gratitude, gratitude for how long and hard I worked to reach that point and for how much longer I still have to go through.

I represented my memory by recreating a scene from the movie where Peter was just figuring out his powers and having webs all around his room. The process of me making this was to tape string to parts of my room to look like the movie. It was really fun to make and filled me with excitement to see the aftermath of all my work. The results looked very good and really shows that I care about these movies, and that even though they made my childhood, they also made me the fan I am today.

(Roshani Patel)
My childhood memory was playing at Chuck E Cheese often. This Project is about me playing different games and making game motions through paint. I used a Basketball, skiball, and a hockey puck covered in paint to either shoot the ball, roll the ski ball through the paper, of use the puck to play air hockey, and a mini ball for bowling. All items were covered in paint and left marks on the paper as you see in the end of the video. In the middle is a resemblance of tickets and prizes by using circular ribbons and paper.

( Yelena Mongbet)
My childhood memory is growing up with my family as a kid and spending time with them. Basically every weekend I went to Chicago to visit my cousins who are more like my brothers and sisters, my childhood moments were all spent with them. In my artwork I have represented some of my favorite moments with my family and sort of created a timeline between them. The pictures at the bottom are black and white because they are not me just yet, and then I incorporated color to show how my life became more colorful. The process I used to create my tree was thumb art. I used my thumb prints to create the leaves of the tree and this also represents how numerous my family is. I chose the tree because its branches are connected just like me and my family are.

(Abby Barton)
My childhood memory is remembering the times the i was little and loved to play dress in my play house. For this project, i created a small "play house" and filled it with vintage charm. I used items from the past and from the present to make this project complete. Throughout the box, i put up vintage wallpaper and wanes coating to give it a vintage look. I also added fairy lights on top to show the magical side of being a child. On the left side, i has a chalk board with polaroids surrounding it. The polorids are primarily of my friends and i and it shows how I've grown as a person. In the middle i have one of my favorite dresses from kindergarten and it remembers me of all the princess play i used to do. On the left i have a little droor filled with containers of sparkles because i absolutely loved aandything sparkly. There is also a merrier frame which represents how my appearance has changed throughout the years. This project was a mix from the old to the new and it reminds me of how my childhood shaped me to be the person i am today
