The earliest recorded systems of weights and measures originate in the 3rd or 4th millennium BC. Even the very earliest civilizations needed measurement for purposes of agriculture, construction, and trade. Early standard units might only have applied to a single community or small region, with every area developing its own standards for lengths, areas, volumes and masses. Often such systems were closely tied to one field of use, so that volume measures used, for example, for dry grains were unrelated to those for liquids, with neither bearing any particular relationship to units of length used for measuring cloth or land. With development of manufacturing technologies, and the growing importance of trade between communities and ultimately across the Earth, standardized weights and measures became critical. Starting in the 18th century, modernized, simplified and uniform systems of weights and measures were developed, with the fundamental units defined by ever more precise methods in the science of metrology. The discovery and application of electricity was one factor motivating the development of standardized internationally applicable units.


The importamce of measurement
Mesurement-using standard measure or estimation to describe specific dimensions of an object or event.
Why measurement is very important?
Measurement is very important because if you have to measure some water measure it in the properly thing it's better if you use the graduated cylinder.Also this is more important to take this measurement because it will not make you unsuccessful.

       Scientists use many skills as they investigate the world around them. They make observations by gathering information with their senses. Some observations are simple. For example, a simple observation would be figuring out the color or texture of an object. However, if scientists want to know more about a substance, they may need to take measurements.                    
Measurement is perhaps one of the most fundamental concepts in science. Without the ability to measure, it would be difficult for scientists to conduct experiments or form theories. Intro:The History of measurement

Measurement has become absolutely critical to progress and improving our quality of life.😇

A measurement is the action of measuring something, or some amount of stuff. So it is important to measure certain things right, distance, time, and accuracy are all great things to measure. By measuring these things or in other words, by taking these measurements we can better understand the world around us. Measurements can also allow us to make desicions based on the outcome of the measurement. By this reasoning measurements are extremely important because they shape the way we think and interact every day.

Measurement is also part of our daily life. It is used in all our movement, in our research work, our industry. How one knows the distance, the time, the height and the width of any geometrical shape. How one knows his size to buy clothes. How one differentiates between cm, inch, foot, meter, mile and km. How could we deal with studying the universe without measurement? So, measurement is an important part of human beings’ lives. 



For us the Measurement is important because without the ability to measure, we cannot get the exact answer when we are solving problems, when we are cooking, we cannot get the exact quantity of the ingredients to make the product's taste balance, in construction site,the amount of cement mixture will be  balanced with water and other materials to make the cement smooth or rough,when conducting an experiment,the amount of substances will be exactly because if the substance is more or not enough, they are big possibilities to make the finished product failed.
