The speaker of the song is Coleman Richard Hell (Coleman Hell). Being that he has never been married before, this song is not based off of personal events from his life. However, in the video the occasion is a country/western themed bar where a younger woman is marrying an older, "rough around the edges" man.

This song is meant for people who may be getting into an unhealthy relationship, or people who are already involved in one. Coleman Hell published this song to let people know they can get out of the relationship before it becomes dangerous to their health.

The tone and attitude in the song contradict that of the music video. In the instrumental part of the song, the tone is very upbeat and cheerful, and he sings with enthusiasm and excitement. However, in the music video the tone is very aggressive and many of the characters have displeasing attitudes.

Lyrics Analysis: Pathos

Coleman Hell uses Pathos in the song "2 Heads" to create an emotional connection between you and the song's characters. By mentioning "your daughter", there is a personal connection brought to the audience because of the family relationship. He shows this in lines such as:
"And there must be something about your daughter"
"She said"

Another example of Pathos in the lyrics, is using religion to identify emotions and values many people may be able to relate too. He also talks about the desire to live longer and be able to spend more time with someone, which may provoke fear of death or loss. This is seen in lines such as:
"I hope to god i'll love you harder"
"I hope to god i'll love you longer"
"If only I could live forever"
"If only I could hold you longer"

Lastly, Coleman Hell uses Pathos to arouse fear in the audience. He speaks of weird creatures that are unfamiliar and frightening. This is seen in lines such as:
"Our love ain't nothing but a monster with 2 heads"
"Our love's a monster with 2 heads and one heartbeat"

Lyrics Analysis: Logos

Coleman Hell also uses a small amount of Logos in the lyrics. Logos is seen in these lyrics:
"We just got caught up in the moment, Why don't you call me in the morning instead"
"There must be something in the water"
These lyrics represent Logos because he is using a logical thought process for why these things are happening. He gives valid explanations as to why their love could be so dysfunctional. He tries to put the blame on defaults of the water, and also suggests they try again in the morning instead of the moment they are currently stuck in.

In conclusion, Coleman Hell's song 2 Heads used a lot of different forms of persuasive language such as Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to tell people that are in an unhealthy relationship, or close to being in a dangerous relationship that there are ways out, and that you don't have to get hurt.

Within his lyrics there was a lot of Logos and Pathos that made his words impactful and relatable. Within his video we saw Ethos and Pathos within the imagery. By using these methods of persuasive language, the audience feels more of an impacting reaction since they are able to relate, or are given proof that the lyrics and video are valid.
