There are four different stages of Melanoma.

Stage 0 is where the cancer cell is confined to the top layer of the skin and has not spread.

Stage I has a A and B stage. Cancer cells have gone deeper into the skin and haven't spread yet.

Stage II has an A, B and C stage. The cells have went deeper into the skin and you'll have high-risk factors but still hasn't spread.

Stage III has stages A-C. It has spread to nearby lymph nodes but not distant organs.

Stage IV is cancer spread beyond the skin and lymph nodes to organs (liver, lungs, brain...) and areas of the skin. They will developed a treatment plan for you.

What is the current treatment for Melanoma?

In stage 0, the common treatment is surgery, stage's one and two treatments are also surgery.

Stage three cancer treatment for Melanoma is radiation therapy, and

for stage four treatment, there really isn't one, it's spread too far. Metastases that cause symptoms but cannot be removed may be treated with radiation, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or chemotherapy.

A sign is a mole that changes color, shape, size, and irregular borders/ edges. If the mole is divided in half , itches, bleeds, and or oozes. Change in skin color and moles that are new and grow by old moles.
