1.In my English learning and teaching, I usually use several ICT tools. For online classes, I rely on platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet. To practice vocabulary and review lessons, I often use Quizlet and Kahoot. I also watch YouTube videos to improve my listening skills, and sometimes I use Grammarly or ChatGPT to check my writing and grammar. These tools make learning more interactive and effective.

2.Although ICT tools are useful, both students and teachers may face some problems in the classroom. One common issue is unstable internet connection, which can interrupt the flow of the lesson. In addition, students may become distracted by social media while using their devices. Not all students have equal access to laptops, tablets, or smartphones, which creates inequality in learning. Teachers themselves may also struggle with technical difficulties if they are not familiar with new technology.

3.For the upcoming course, I think it would be better to include more interactive ICT activities such as online games or group quizzes to make lessons more engaging. Teachers should also provide clear guidance before using any new tool so that students do not feel confused. It is helpful to encourage students to practice with ICT outside the classroom as well. Finally, I suggest combining ICT with traditional teaching methods to create balance and reduce too much screen time.

One of the most significant issues is a lack of adequate infrastructure and resources, such as slow internet, outdated hardware, or a shortage of devices for some students. Additionally, there can be a digital divide, where some students have more familiarity and access to technology outside of school than others, creating an unequal learning environment. Another problem is the need for ongoing professional development for teachers to effectively integrate new tools as well as the risk of technical issues disrupting lessons and wasting valuable class time.

3. Suggestions for the Upcoming Course

For the upcoming course, I have a suggestion to enhance the learning experience: Consider providing a resource bank of vetted and free ICT tools, complete with tutorials and lesson plan ideas.

Skills Issues • Teachers are not yet familiar with effectively exploiting teaching software and online tools. • Students know how to use phones/computers for entertainment but struggle to apply them for learning. Classroom Management Issues • Students easily lose focus, switching to games or social media when using devices. • Difficult to monitor online learning, especially during group activities. Access and Equity Issues • Some students do not have personal devices or cannot connect to the Internet at home. • Technological gap between urban and rural areas. Psychological and Attitudinal Issues • Teachers may be reluctant to change from traditional teaching methods. • Students may find ICT complicated or unfamiliar, leading to frustration.

For the upcoming course, it would be helpful to start with a short orientation session to train everyone on the required tools, set clear rules for technology use, combine ICT with traditional methods, prepare backup materials in case of technical problems, and collect regular feedback to improve the learning experience.
