Students continued with Unit 1 - ' A day at school'
Students practiced using ordinal numbers 1-31 (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.)
Language focus: present simple (there is/there are), possessive pronouns (mine, yours, his and hers).
Vocabulary: backpack, sunglasses, jumper, pencil, phone, notebook, key, hat, lunchbox and skipping rope.

ESL - Next week

Students will investigate books. They will identify the author, title, main character, content page and chapters of a book.
Students will focus on learning vowels (a,e,i,o and u), articles (a and an), digraphs(sh, ch and th).
Students will review knowledge learnt in Unit 1

Maths - Current week

Students continued with unit 1 - Numbers to 100.
Students practiced skip counting using the 100 square. Counting on by 10s.
Students practiced estimating the number of objects or people (0-100)
Students practiced to order numbers from biggest to smallest and smallest to biggest.

Maths - Next week

Students will continue to practice skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s up to 100.
Students will learn to identify even and odd numbers (0-100)
Students will focus on the 100 square and how to fill in selected parts from the 100 square.

Science - Current week

Students continued with Unit 1 - Environments and Habitats.
Students focused on habitats for plants.
Students compared different habitats of plants.
Students focused on understanding what similarities and differences are.

Science - Next week

Students will continue with Unit 1 - Environments and Habitats.
Students will start to understand that people extract rock from the Earth in different ways. Vocabulary: quarry, mine, riverbed.
Students will identify different kinds of rocks. Vocabulary: granite, slate, chalk, marble
Students will describe different rocks. Vocabulary: strong, soft, rough, absorbent, waterproof

GP - Current week

Students discussed the importance of eating healthy food. We practiced to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy food.

GP - Next week

Students will discuss exercise and how it benefits our bodies. We will look at how exercise helps our heart, muscles, lungs, bones and brain to function better.
