To help people with visual disabilities, we can make some changes to the website. First, we should let users change the font size with a button, so they can make the text bigger if they need to. Also, we must use good color contrast, like black text on a white background, so it’s easy to read—even for people who can’t see colors well. We should not use only colors (like red) to show errors; we can also use icons or messages. Navigation should be easy with the keyboard, like using the Tab key to move and enter to click. It helps people who use screen readers. We can also add keyboard shortcuts to make it faster and easier for them to use the site.

We should give users the option to change the font size based on what they need. Also, To include color blind people its best to add the option to change the entire theme of the website to help accommodate them depending on their color blindness type while also giving more themes for normal users. Moreover, Its best to avoid using certain colors that are usually affected by color blindness, like red, green, blue, yellow.

Another way to design a website that is accessible to color blind people is to ensure using high contrast colors between the background and the elements and have readable text content while also providing icons to help.

Alaa Yusuf

Huda Mansoor

Rabab S.

slide 20: 1- 1 users should be able to navigate a website or app entirely using the keyboard without needing a mouse. The first point explains a big challenge Navigation menus (especially those with dropdowns and submenus) can be difficult for blind users to use. These structures are often complex and not always easy to navigate with assistive tools. 2- Blind users can understand navigation menus through screen readers, but that doesn’t always make them easy to use. Buttons like “Home” may be hard to select if they’re too small or not designed for assistive navigation. So, a design must be both readable and easy to interact with.does anyone have access to it

Slide21: web browsers allow users to navigate a page using only the keyboard instead of a mouse. For example users can press the Tab key to move between links and press Enter to open a selected link. Screen readers can also read out the names of links helping users understand where each link will take them. Providing a list of keyboard shortcuts on a website makes navigation easier and improves accessibility for all users especially those with disabilities.

Complex navigation menus and dropdowns are major obstacles; therefore, digital accessibility should focus on making navigation simple and effective. Users can move with Tab and select with Enter, so websites should support these functions and display available keyboard shortcuts.
