  • Candidates testing at home may use an erasable whiteboard whilst testing; in test centres candidates will have access to noteboards and pens. All candidates may also make use of the onscreen scratchpad. 

We strongly advise you to test early - the ongoing impact of COVID 19 is difficult to predict but there is a potential of additional local or national restrictions in the future.  If these occur, we may have to reschedule candidates to less convenient times and locations and/or advise candidates to test at home.  The best way of avoiding this is to test early.  Additionally, for candidates still at school, it makes sense to have completed your test over the summer and be ready to focus on schoolwork when schools return in the autumn.

This online event means your students can explore courses at up to 40 universities and colleges around the UK. It’s perfect for anyone considering applying to medicine, veterinary, or dentistry courses. 

Students will have chance to speak directly to subject and admissions specialists via 1-2-1 or group chat, listen in on topical seminars, and pick up digital prospectus’ and other information. 

Tell your students to register early to make sure they don’t miss out. We’ll then send them reminders and top tips to get the most out of the experience. After the event, they’ll have on-demand access to the exhibition for two weeks, allowing them to go back in and contact uni reps, collect more resources, and re-watch seminars. 

We'll be launching more virtual exhibitions in different subject areas soon, so watch this space!

As you may have seen in the Norfolk Higher Aspiration Scheme bulletin, this is the first in our annual cycle of university test preparation workshops. Lasting 2-3 hours (including questions), this will thoroughly prepare you for all the types of question set in the official UCAT test; it will offer you tips for improving your timing and other strategies to help you prepare for the UCAT challenge: a chance to try out and compare answers, and ask questions of a Norfolk-educated Medic (and UCAT presenter) who sat the same test only a few years before you.
This workshop is FREE to all Year 12s currently in Norfolk Sixth Forms or Colleges – strict priority to HAS members. 
There are VERY limited places, so RSVP ASAP to to apply – you may be allocated to either 20th or 21st July.

Christ Church College, University of Oxford, is pleased to announce that they will be hosting an online Insight Day for Norfolk students. This day is aimed at students beginning Year 13 this September who are thinking of applying to Oxford University. The day will be hosted on Microsoft Teams and include a virtual tour, academic workshops and a Q&A with current undergraduates. It will also serve as a preparation day for navigating the Oxford University Virtual Open Days. It is free to attend and open to all students in Norfolk schools. To apply, fill out this form here!
