I feel there needs to be a time when staff can step away from their job duties and interact with each other personally. Food seems to bond people at my sites so I believe implementing a time to share a meal/snack and step away for a period of time would help build some relationships.

I work side-by-side with staff as needed. I have a comprehensive training plan and sit with staff to train them often and ongoing as needed. My staff know when they ask how to do something, I will sit with them to train and answer questions.

I encourage staff to show empathy for others. I want to have my team build more empathy with those around them--parents/families/staff/community.

Building more empathy for those around us by checking our own feelings at the door; listening more; leading by my own example. In this line of work it is very easy to get compassion fatigue and would be nice to have more training on it.

Relationships is my strong area. I have almost always for everyone on this portion. My training and back ground has taught me without relationships it is very difficult to build trust, safety and connection.

I would like to reflect with staff on their "why" and discuss how our energy reflects in our classrooms or with our staff. This will help lead into discussion about showing up the best we can each day at work, and what can we do when we are feeling off (because we are only human!)
