Canvas was something that I started using in 7th grade and it was the thing we needed to complete assignments and occasionally takes tests. It impacted school by allowing school to be any where and anytime. If you're sick, you can still do the work and not have to go in for the paper homework.

School Issued iPads

School issued iPads became a thing in high school, where they also handed out school emails and log ins for those school devices. This made it so the technology of Canvas was available at home for those who maybe didn't have a computer or iPad themselves to do the work. It also was very good for digital note taking while in class as well.

Smart Boards

Smart Boards were a technology that I didn't really see until I was in 4th grade. Smart Board were a great tool for learning in elementary school because they allowed teachers to interact with things projected from their computers while standing up at the board instead of needing to be by the computer to switch slides or something. And it limited the need to dry erase markers because it had a whiteboard feature.

Clickers

These were great at keeping my older sister engaged through out college. They had answer buttons, they'd be used to take attendance and "raise your hand" without actually needing to raise your hand.

Commadore 64

It was some of the first computers ever introduced into schools. My dads generation was the first to see them when he was in elementary school. With these computers, students would learn to type faster and learn to use Microsoft. Though boring, my sister says, it helped her a lot with using computers and typing super fast in her adult life now.

TV Cart

The TV Cart! This was something in my dads generation where they would watch educational videos in order to learn instead of being lectured about the lesson by the teacher. It also was a part of my elementary school years when we would have quiet time in the library.

The best part of a middle school science class for sure. Send electric currents through a person and can conduct really cool experiments about conductivity.

TI-82

Introduced in 1993, it was a mathematical innovation. An easier way to quickly calculate equations and easier figure out slopes, tan/sin, and other difficult math problems.
