Stan writes Slime several letters about the lyrics in his songs, in those letters the audience finds out that stan is having a hard time. Lyrics in Eminem’s songs are creating a serious problem for Stan he is taking them to seriously not understanding that Slime is bending the truth when he raps. One example of irony displayed in the song Stan is at the end. Slime urges Stan to get help then founds out he drove his car off a bridge killing himself and his girlfriend.

In the first couple of letters, he clearly idolizes Eminem and exhibits an unhealthy level of infatuation with him. As the letters continue being sent, the fan becomes angry that Eminem isn't responding to his letters. The fan became so angry that he ended up killing his pregnant wife and committing suicide. After that, Eminem finally replied.
