Then finally they can measure the length of an object to add and subtraction various items of different lengths.

Pre-Assessment: Instructor will make sure students are comfortable with the idea of inches, centimeters, feet and meters.

Formative Assessment: During small group time the instructor chooses objects for the students to measure and the instructor can assess what still needs to be taught and go over to move on away this unit.

Summative Assessment: Students will be asked to share their work and explain how they determined their answer. Other students will ask follow up questions to determine how well everyone understood the assignment.
