         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>SPEED- <br></strong><br>1) The rate at which an object covers a certain distance is known as speed.<br><br>2) It is a scalar quantity.<br><br>3) Speed does not depend on the direction of the object movement.&nbsp;<br><br>4) Uniform speed:- When an object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be moving with uniform speed.&nbsp;<br>Even if the object changes its directions, it is still said to be moving with constant speed.<br><br></div><div>5) EXAMPLE - A Car moving with a constant speed of 50km/hr, if changes its direction, it is still said to be moving with 50km/hr.<br><br><strong>VELOCITY - <br></strong>1) The rate at which an object changes its positions in a certain directions.<br><br>2) It is a vector quantity.<br><br>3) Velocity depends on the direction of the object's movement.<br><br>4) Uniform Velocity:- When an object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time,<strong> in a particular direction</strong>, it is said to be moving with uniform velocity.<br>If the body changes its direction, its velocity changes.<br><br>5) EXAMPLE - A car moving along a straight line, i.e., its moving in a particular direction, is said to have uniform velocity.<strong><br></strong><br></div>]]></description>
