Most of the REVIT files cannot be opened, as they are all Revit 2020 versions and we were told to install Revit 2019. We have informed lecturer regarding this matter and we were told that we can only view the files after they are converted to 2019 version. We need them urgently as most of our tasks require viewing the REVIT files.

On the other hand, is there any other possible way to view the clash detection file without having to install a new software?

BIM was implemented starting from the preliminary design phase. The implementation of BIM was made easier and much more efficient by importing the Family model of the project from the BIM centre, then develop those models which are unavailable. BIM was used by collaborating with other software to allow process sharing, transferring and exchanging.

  6. Any construction technologies applied to speed up or ease the construction works? Such as a modular system or IBS system?

  1. Is there a standard format in drafting the BEP of JKR projects?
  2. If yes, can Sir/ Madam please briefly explain what components must be included in a BEP.
  3. If there is a change in consultants such as the client would like to change the contractor for the project, is the BEP still applicable to the next contractor? Or a new BEP has to be drafted?
  4. What are the BIM goals in this project?
  5. Is the BEP prepared by only one party or is it produced by different parties and later on compiled into one BEP?
  6. How information exchanges take place? May it be according to the schedule?
  7. Any pre and post contract of BEP? As they are not stated in the BEP that we have currently.
  8. Any Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP)?
  9. Any Project Information Model (PIM)?
  10.  Is there any assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of BEP? 

BIM Implementation/ Workflows (phase of project life cycle)
  1. What level of BIM is implemented in this project? 3D/ 4D/ 5D?
  2. Is BIM practised pre-construction, during construction or even for post construction in this project?
  3. How are we going to evaluate the BIM Implementation throughout this project. Is it under the scope of a BIM Manager?

BIM Model -Clash Detection, Quantities and Specification for BQ
  1. How often will Clash Detection occur throughout a project?
  2. Is it when one of the parties realise something is wrong in the model only will BIM Manager call out for clash detection? Or is any fixed period of time, may it be once a month to call for Clash Detection?
  3. After a clash is realized, what are the procedures to solve the clash?
  4. How long, normally, will it take to solve a clash issue?
  5. Is clash detection helpful in speeding up construction or will it prolong the construction period since it may contribute to meetings and discussions to solve the clash.
