         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Electronic Text</mark><br>Texts are balanced and representative of the students of Akron<br><br><mark>Culturally Authentic</mark><br>Information is relevant to Akron Students <br><br>Electronic texts provide a balanced and accurate portrayal of various demographic and personal characteristics, such as gender, race/ethnicity, identity, geographic location, cultural norms, socioeconomic status, and intellectual and physical abilities.<br><br>This is repetitive. Perhaps combine the two from Culturally Authentic and remove the one from Electronic Text? <br><br><mark>Culturally Authentic </mark><br>Electronic texts include accurate facts; are authentically, culturally, and ethnically inclusive (contextually and temporally); use relatable language; and include diverse and balanced visual/pictorial representations and content.<br><br><mark>Electronic texts include African American, Asian, and Latinx content including cultural experiences, history, and traditions through the use of stories, legends, and myths derived from a balance of primary and secondary sources.<br><br>Electronic texts integrate diversity across ethnic groups and genders, including relevant graphics, images, experiences, and names representing African American, Asian, and Latinx cultures.</mark><br><br>These seem culture specific and repetitive. The first one keeps it general without selecting specific "groups." We know our students, and variety is the spice of life. We would select a text that would encompass a variety of writers. It would prevent biases from entering the selection process. <br><br><mark>Electronic Teacher Edition<br><br></mark>Information is relevant to Akron students.<br><br>This is located on the rubric several times. This question should only be posed once, contrary to its category location. I would imagine the answer wouldn't change after reviewing student and teacher textbooks.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
