I believe that every child has the ability to achieve greatness, no matter how that is defined to them, as long as they have the support system, goals, and motivation to do so. Children are highly impressionable so it is of utmost importance to embrace them with encouragement, to expose them to new ideas and environments that will positively impact their outlook on life, and to reinforce good behavior.

The role of the school counselor as an advocate is to be supportive and a point of reference/resource for each child the counselor is responsible for. As an advocate, the counselor assists students in creating and taking steps towards accomplishing their academic goals and pursuing their career aspirations. The school counselor is an advocate for student access and inclusion to all programs and opportunities made available to the students, not just a selective group of students.

Students will embrace meaningful academic coaching, personal and social skills, and impactful career development that will assist them in becoming remarkable contributors to our society.
