If you don't have a body, the recount will be short and boring. Reading a paragraph is easier than reading a big long blurb.

The features are
-Multiple time connectives or else the reader would be confused. They need to be different or else it would be boring.

-Past tense because the events have already happened. If they are going to happen, it is not a recount.

-Detail because the reader has a better understanding of the recount and what is actually going on. If you have too much detail, it can get boring in some cases.

    The most important part of recounts is the body paragraph as without a body paragraph it wouldn't be a story.

    More needed features for the body paragraphs are:

    *Time connectives, Without these the story wouldn't make any sense.

    *Past Tense language, If present tense language is used it's not a recount because it's recalling something from the past.

    *Detail, Without detail people will not keep reading the story.

    *Factual information,
    You need correct information otherwise your making up stuff which recounts have to be true.

    *Properly used paragraphs,
    Don't just throw in a paragraph so you get extra marks put it in a logical place.

    *Vocabulary, Use good vocab so the reader stays entertained.
