As one of the UN goals, Leyte Province requires SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth. Agriculture is Leyte's main source of income. Because unforeseen climate changes may have an impact on their way of life, not everyone can always have access to sustainable agriculture. The province of Leyte may use SDG 8 to create more jobs for its residents, ensuring that they can all support themselves even when agriculture is not performing well. We cannot put all of our eggs in the agricultural basket because it is vulnerable to a variety of unforeseeable events. The economy of Leyte can grow more if there is decent work available or a different source of income. Leyte is the province in Eastern Visayas with the biggest population, therefore adding more respectable jobs there could help the area's economy grow. SDG 11 is necessary for Leyte because of the region's vulnerability to flash floods. Leyte province has to give the 11 SDGs more focus through promoting urban agriculture and halting unlawful deforestation. They should expand their green spaces to reduce floods and landslides. Leyte's cities need to be secure and disaster-proof. Enhancing SDG 11 to reduce deaths from disasters ought to be one of the government's top priorities given that children make up the majority of the population in Leyte.

Ansale, N. C. (n.d.).
