         <description><![CDATA[<div>*Small strategy groups<br>*meeting in PLCs to talk about particular students<br>*having a relationship with all kids; especially at risk students; going the extra mile with that student to find that one thing to connect about&nbsp;<br>*talking with teachers (support staff)<br>brainstorming sessions about ways to help<br>*Using visuals in our teaching<br>*demonstrating and modeling of a project (art) + look at visual representations of a project<br>*pre-teaching&nbsp;<br>*giving immediate and specific feedback<br>and setting goals (asking "what did you do to help you get there?")<br>*using rubrics so students understand expectations<br>*taking the team to meet with each student individually to talk about their work<br>*celebrations of accomplishments and when students reach their goals<br>*growth mindset (letting kids know that we should be open to change and growing)<br>*push in model (students are staying in their home classroom)<br>*Using AVID strategies/NUA strategies<br>*In Specials; naturally inclusive and those students that may struggle in academics may have a lot of success in specials<br>*Responsive Classroom/Morning Meetings (can use this time as a forum for problem solving)<br>*Teachers being okay with making mistakes and pointing it out to the students<br>*Having students help; giving students a leadership role<br><br></div>]]></description>
