We believe it could be broken down to fit into other stages. For example, preparing agreed project outputs and agreeing project outputs with clients could fit into the planning stages. The quality assurance would be more in the evaluation stage – just for a different audience.

· Stage 5 evaluation – not clear what happens with evaluations afterwards – so not clear on why we are preparing evaluation – might be good to know what happens with the info.

How you define these stages is critical. Running opening Programmes my actions at the close down stage maybe different to another colleague who delivers consultancy or bespoke Programmes. The definition would need to broad enough to to encompass these scenarios.

This would be a great opportunity through the framework of these 6 stages to share good practice amongst each other. It feels increasingly that we are working in silos not knowing what each other is doing. I believe there is a rich seam of innovation and creativity that people are undertaking on their own projects which would be an enormous plus to the organisation if shared with others.

On Open Programmes Event Executives have not necessarily been involved at the Initiation and Planning stages of events. This may be different in other areas of the organisation. Most Executives would welcome and I believe would make a valuable contribution towards these two initial stages if given the opportunity.
