Credit is a contractual agreement in which a borrower receives something of value now and agrees to repay the lender at some later date.

What would the loan amount be and what would be the difference in the final payoff amounts for the two lenders? Explain your decision.

The loan amount would be around $4,000. With a Payday Lender “There is a risk of falling into along cycle of debt. Payday loans are extremely expensive compared to a personal loan.”(Credit/Debt, 3). If you use a Payday Lender you have to pay a fee which is 15% but a Personal loan you would not have to, most banks do not make you pay a fee. Banks do look at your credit score to see if you qualify not like Lenders who do not but as long as you meet the requirement you will get it without a fee. Payday Lenders have extreme amounts of fees which will make you pay more. They do not cash the check until your pay day also. The difference in the final pay off is you would be paying way more money with a pay day lender with all the fees and have a chance of going into deep debt but with a personal lender it’s someone you can trust you have a fixed interest rate and monthly payment o you don’t have to wait till pay day so you will end up paying less.

Imagine that you or someone that you know personally needed to get a loan for a specific amount of money (you determine the amount). Would you choose to go to a bank or a Payday lender?

Let’s say that my mom needed to borrow a loan of $4,000. This is because we ended up getting a leak in the house because there is a hole in our roof and we need to repair that and the ceiling. I think we would choose to go to a bank. It says in the iBook that, “A short-term personal loan has a fixed interest rate and fixed repayment period.” (Credit/Debt, 3). Even those these loans may lower your credit score, I think my mom would be alright because she has a very good credit score and makes a credit log to make sure her payments are all on time.

So so many types of loans to choose from! But there are two main loans which you should always look at. They’re called Payday Loans and Personal Loans. You should look at this option carefully though and what’s best for you. Depending what you choose these could cause negative or positive affects!
