• Fact 1: Igloos are built in a catenary arch shape, which is a very strong curve that keeps the heavy snow from falling in.

• Fact 2: The inside is built in layers or levels. Because heat rises, the sleeping area is at the top to keep people as warm as possible.

• Fact 3: A person’s body heat is what warms the igloo. The snow blocks the wind and traps that heat inside, making it much warmer than the air outside.

Personally, I would love to stay in an igloo! It sounds like a cozy and unique experience to be protected from a snowstorm by walls made of ice.
