While Darwin was growing up he was raised by his three older sisters. He was always interested about human physiology from his fathers work but never agreed with the route learning the classics when he went to Anglican Shrew bury school. He did study at the school for seven years. He was also very interested in science during the time it was considered dehumanizing. This led to him being shut out by other kids that went to his school and even the schools headmaster. At the end of his seven years at Anglican Shrew Bury school his father thought that he was going to be useless so he sent him to study medicine at the age of sixteen at Edinburgh University in 1825. During his time there Charles decided that he had not learned much at all at that school so he left. When he left he went to Cambridge where he leaned about the anatomy of organisms. That was when his career took off and he started taking science seriously.
