The reasons why American schools are failing is because of the schools and where the "good" schools are located and how they are sprinkled into the community that's not a good thing because with all the "good" schools scattered the chances that your children will be in that good school is small. In the documentary many families could't pick where to leave their children at certain schools because of where they live and where the specific school is located.

The reasons that CPS is going down is because the problem where the schools are located in the type of neighborhood that its located at. As stated in the documentary waiting for super man in LA out of 60,000 students that the school had, 40,000 did not graduated and that's sad.

American public schools are making students fail because they are the ones that choose the staff. If schools choose bad staff members then the students will do poorly in their academics. For example in the document "Waiting For Superman" it tells us that schools do the "Dance Of The Lemons" which is when schools more around the bad teachers from school to school. This tells us that schools know that they have bad teachers but won't get them fire.

students are failing thanks to American public schools.
Teachers are not doing their best (not trying) to teach the class. So students are not learning, making the students be bad in the future.
In the documentary it talked about how teachers are being moved from school to school because they are bad teachers, and they are destroying the school. And you can fire them so they will destroy more schools as they move.

The problem with American public schools are failing students is because the New York city public schools are/were wasting a lot of money in the "rubber room" instead of give it to schools who really need it. In the documentary "waiting for superman" said that the district wasted money for the rubber room.

The reason why American students are failing is because of school's. Schools practice a couple of systems in which hurt a students education. In the article " The school to prison pipeline" it states " schools districts have policies that push students out of the classroom and into the criminal justice system " schools have a zero tolerance policy, in which students are removed from the classroom for bad behavior therefore keep students from advancing in education. In the documentary " Waiting for Superman" it says that schools practice a system known as " Dance of the lemons " which is when schools toss around the "bad" teachers , these schools shouldn't be tossing around teachers they should try to fix the teachers.

In the documentary "Waiting for superman" it talks about how teachers are being moved to different districts. Schools are now having less teachers in which could affect schools. Also it states in the documentary that many schools don't have alot of fundings which is hard for teachers to teach one kid at a time.

SERGIO,,,,,,Schools are the reason why American schools are failing students. In the documentary "waiting for superman" it talks about tenure and how schools have bad teachers and can't get rid of them because of tenure. I think that teachers getting tenure is a problem because they start not to care about teaching as much as before, so that affects students learning and education.
