1.) Odysseus’ overall struggle of abandonment and isolation from the gods seems to be the most difficult struggle in his journey. This is evident in Odyssyus prideful, impulsive actions that leads the gods to punish him. For instance, the killing of Polyphemus (Posideon’s son) was out of rash descision which contributed to the isolation from the gods Odyssyus endures. These prideful actions accumulate and leave Odyssyus with the overall struggle of abandonment.

-Ethan, Trevor, Celeste, Kennedy

Odysseus is loyal to his wife at the island of Calypso, after his journey to the underworld. Before this, however, at the island of Circe, he was not faithful. The next instance of loyalty is between Odysseus and his crew. They do not trust him, and they open the bag of winds. The final instance of loyalty is between Odysseus and the gods. Throughout the story, he becomes more loyal to the gods and wants to do what is right. Sarah MC Peyton Alex
