         <description><![CDATA[<div>a ridge of rock in the sea formed by the growth and deposit of corals.<br><br>Where: Can be anywhere but most commonly in low nutient water such as the tropics because less competition so better chance of surival.<br><br>What: There are three main types of Coral Reefs<br><br>- Fringing Reef: Are directly off shore in shallow rocky waters. <br><br>- Barrier Reef: Are not directly off shore but not not super far out because still need shallow waters. can be the largest of the three reefs.<br><br>- Atolls: Created around a round a central lagoon which normal starts as an island then with the submersion of the island leaves behind the surrounding reef and a lagoon in the middle.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Coral reefs are shallow-ocean habitats that are filled with sea life. The massive structure that the coral reef is comprised of is actually build out of calcium carbonate which is from polyps, shells, deposits from algae, and skeletons.</div>]]></description>

Lobsters, clams, seahorses, sponges,sea turtles, starfish and, anemones rely on reefs for their survival. Corals can grow only in shallow water, where light is penetrated.&nbsp; They are found in tropical waters. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Coral reefs are located in oceans near the equator. Coral reefs have the most diverse habitats than the entire ocean. Waves depend on the coral reefs to protect the beaches and the reefs need the waves to bring food to animals living in the reefs. All ecosystems have temperature and sunlight, but since coral reefs are found in the ocean their abiotic components is buoyancy, viscosity, light penetration, gases and water density.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>They have adapted to live in areas with lower nutrient levels because since less organisms there not as much competitions. Competition is always between space and have made themselves different forms of protection such as spiculers (calcium carbonate neddles). Are one of the most efficient at nitrogen fixation. When they are stressed by heat coral bleaching will occur in which zooxanthellae are expelled producing the white and brown coloring.</div>]]></description>
