      <description>Health and Consumer Sciences teacher, Alycia Brudner has promoted academic and extracurricular success in a diverse student body. She entered public education as a student teacher at Elm Street Junior High School in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she had her first experiences in teaching Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Alycia Brudner transitioned into the school district of Milford, Massachusetts, where she became a health teacher at Middle School East and Stacy Middle School. 

While serving in this position, Alycia Brudner coordinated the MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey and facilitated a middle school-high school partnership to support high school students who presented to the middle school students as pat of their course requirements. She also served as a faculty team leader for the Positive Behavior Intervention Support program, which promoted positive discipline throughout the district. 

Alycia currently serves as a health and nutrition teacher at Milford High School. She balances her classroom responsibilities with the mentorship of new wellness education teachers and student teachers, and with service as advisor to the Students Against Destructive Decisions program. She also has coordinated a number of community events, including the &quot;If Only&#39; event to raise awareness of prescription drug abuse.</description>
