He states that this choice had made all the difference in his life, although implying that this was in a negative sense.

In the end of the poem, he took the road that was said to be not taken. The very fact that it was less traveled made it an attraction to him which made him take it. Thus, the poem could well be titled “The Road that was Taken” and it would still be accurate, as he took it. 

“What does the speaker’s choice suggest about his/her personality?”

He is an adventurer; someone who likes exploring new paths for himself and does not like following known paths. He prefers the attraction of nature to the company of men. He is a risk taker, although the risk he took this time seemed to have backfired as he regrets his choice.

"I asked as one who knew the brook, its strength and impulse" personifies the brook as someone who is strong

“The brook was thrown Deep in a sewer dungeon under stone In fetid darkness still to live and run” personifies the brook as somewhat a prisoner or a slave of mankind, abused and mistreated

"The thoughts may not have risen that so keep this new-built city from both work and sleep." Personifies the city as a person having thoughts, whom is indifferent to the brook which it has mistreated

Silas had previously broken a contract between himself and Warren by running away when he was needed; thus, Warren was extremely unhappy with him. Mary says Silas is sick, and Warren should see him as he wishes to die in their company. However, Warren is still bitter over the broken contract. The two talk about Silas’ lack of family members to die with, particularly as Silas has a big dispute with his brother. In the end, Warren agrees to see Silas, but he had died by then.

This seems to play to gender stereotypes, as men are thought to be logical and insensitive while women are thought to be sympathetic and emotional. She has to look after the people her husband works for and her husband as well, making her a servant to servants. Because of this, she dreams of living independently out of the normal system she always has to go through, but this was only a fantasy, as she knew that this could not come true. This brings a view of feminism onto the poem, as we can see the prominence of men in this society and how women are once more portrayed as the people who simply have to live with it and just do as they are told without having the possibility of achieving their own dreams.

The poet use repetition which can be seen in stanza four "And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep" in which these sentences may create a two different meanings of the sentence. The first of the last sentence uses the tone that implies that time has gone by pass, whereas the second sentence of "And miles to go before I sleep" uses a more soft tone allucidates the journey of going back home is still a long way to go.

"Using examples, what is the tone or mood of the poem"

The mood or also known as the tone that are being used in the poem describes the feeling of sadness after enjoying a view without realizing how many hours were taken to see the woods in the middle of the coldest night of the year. Some tones can also describes loneliness and joy of listening to the sound of nature, which can be seen from the sentence in the stanza three , "The only other sound's the sweep, Of easy wind and downy flake.
