Basically, I got my PhD in Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering from UKM. My niche research areas are renewable energy and nanotechnology. Currently, I work more on green chemistry to turn waste into valuable products.

About personal life, I am married with 2 kids. I love baking, hiking, reading and traveling. I like nature very much will try exploring new places for hiking and traveling. I am an easy person a little bit perfectionist. Not so strict person.

My name is Maryam Yousefi , I am a nineteen year old student working on my engineering degree in biochemical- biotechnology field at International Islamic University Malaysia. I am from Afghanistan but live most of my life here in Malaysia. You might be wondering how I ended up all the way from Afghanistan to Malaysia, well the answer is that both of parents are students and chose Malaysia as a suitable country to continue their studies, thus I left my home country when I was 9 years old with my siblings to be here in Malaysia , never knew that would be the last time I would visit Afghanistan in 10 years. HEHE enough of that .
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing volleyball, cooking, volunteering, reading, and helping others. Continuous learning is very important to me and so there is is a good chance that you can find me reading a book, watching a documentary, or researching a new, random, and exciting topic specially about oceans and marine life. Assalamualaikum and hi, my name is Nur Emily Binti Nawawi. I normally just go by Emily and I am from Melaka. People usually know me for my grace and my shyness, probably because all my siblings are girls and the fact that I went to a girls' high school for 3 years. I like music and I enjoy playing musical instruments. During high school, I learnt how to play kompang, keyboard, and gamelan. My most favourite instrument is the gamelan. I could say that I can play all types of gamelan instruments and I really enjoy it, so that's why I decided to join Gamelan Gema Gangsa (IIUM Gamelan Club). Hello! My name is Nur Aqilah Husna and I am from Ipoh, Perak.

Being an engineer has been my ambition since I was 7. Maybe because I see my aunt having a big house and a big car as an engineer hahaha. And that is the reason why I am here today. I am passionate about working in a laboratory or in a hospital laboratory one day. I think because of the family trait as my mom is a lab assistant XD

About me, I really enjoy learning new languages. I am currently learning Mandarin by myself because I still couldn't afford a proper class. I also love how Malaysia has different accents in different states and would really love to learn all those accents :D I also enjoy playing musical instruments because it can train my brain to focus as I am an easily distracted person. I play Ukulele, Kalimba, Angklung, and Gamelan. Maybe a keyboard one day soon.

The sustainable biochemical/chemical technologies that I find very intriguing is biodegradable packaging, be it plastics or any other materials, since non degradable packaging has always been the major issue of pollution in this world.

Currently in my second year first semester doing biochemical engineering. I do likes any kind of animal especially fish and birds. I love painting random things. Due to this fact, I enjoy taking random pictures so it can be my reference for the painting later :D

Sustainable biochemical technologies of interest:
Hydrogen fuel cells, because I think it has the potential to be a great renewable energy source in the future. Besides, they produce much smaller quantities of greenhouse gases and also have far more energy efficient than traditional combustion technologies.

Assalamualaikum, my name is Muhammad Izzuddin and people usually calls me either as Izzu or Din and I feel comfortable for both. I'm 21-year-old this year. Something about myself, I would say that my brain is more talkative than my mouth. I'm not the one who will speaks a lot amongst the crowd but I'm the one who will listening the most. Taking engineering courses truly taught me a lot about life- never give up, struggle in order to have something great and went thru many ups and downs. Speaking of biochemicals technologies that spark my interest the most is genetic engineering or something related to our genetic code/DNA especially since the application of mRNA vaccine to fight against covid-19. We require a lot more findings and clinical results in order to have a better medication therapy like fight against cancer disease by applying genetic technologies. I believe the biochemical engineering can influence medical findings to support human's health sustainability as modernization takes place and will be revolutionized as a decent engineering title alongside the OG one like mechanical and electrical engineering :)

Hi, my name is Nur Alyssa Syahira Binti Anwar Rizman. You can call me Alyssa. I was born in Selangor, the second of three siblings. Despite having two brothers, I'm a very shy and quiet person, but once you get to know me, I'm actually very friendly.

In my free time, I do enjoy reading English novels, solving sudoku, and watching Japanese anime. I also enjoy listening to instrumental music because it makes me feel at ease and relaxed, especially during my study time. The violin and piano version of Joe Hisaishi's One Summer's Day is my favourite piece.

I’m interested in biochemical processes that use enzymes, which can also be applied to biotechnology, and have the potential to offer an environmentally friendly. I’m fascinated by advances in DNA technology, such as recombinant DNA technology (where DNA molecules from two different species are joined together to produce new genetic combinations) that are useful in science, medicine, agriculture, and industry.
