They created a list of books that were considered heretical, erroneous, or immoral. The idea of banning books was and still is, popular in&nbsp; authoritarian regimes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas Morton was the first author in the US to have a book banned in the United States. He was an English settler who established his own community which is now known as Quincy, Massachusetts. His book, <em>New English Canaan</em>, was published in 1637 and he critiqued the Puritan customs that even more progressive settlers disapproved of. With all the critiques it received, the Puritans decided to ban it.</div>]]></description>

Every year, they hold a summit, and often host many far right conservatives to speak. Last year in Florida, they had Ron DeSantis and former Trump administration Education secretary Besty DeVos.</div>]]></description>
