But in the end, he chose the insect series with bright colors and lively content. After Jaden and Mummy read it, he said that he wanted to draw a caterpillar and give it to teacher.

 Jaden's after reading:

1.Caterpillars are green, like leaves.  To protect himself, the caterpillar will slowly grow up, and it will bounce like a mantis.

 

2.Jaden looked at the caterpillar in the book and said, I want to draw a red head, and pointed to the picture in the book and said: The caterpillar has a black mouth and four thick legs.

 

3.Finally, Jaden wrote down CATERPILLAR and proudly took it to Dad: Look, Dad, I wrote it myself, and I didn't write the "S" backwards.

Jaden每到假日都要爸爸媽媽帶他去圖書館，和哥哥一起在圖書館找有趣的童書來閱讀。這次全家人一起參與學校與國家圖書館舉辦的活動，首次嘗試借閱關於更多資訊類的書籍讓Jaden來閱讀。

但最後他還是選擇了色彩鮮明內容活潑的昆蟲系列，媽媽與Jaden讀完後，他說想把毛毛蟲畫下來送給老師。

Jaden的讀後感想：

*毛毛蟲是綠色的，和葉子一樣。因為要保護他自己，毛毛蟲慢慢地會長大，它會和螳螂一樣可以彈跳。

*Jaden看著書裡的毛毛蟲說，我要畫紅色的頭，並指著書裡圖片說：毛毛蟲有黑色的嘴巴、四隻粗壯的腿。

*最後Jaden 把CATERPILLAR寫下來，驕傲的帶去給爸爸看：爸爸你看，我自己寫出來的，而且沒有把“S”寫反。

For this week’s pick, her favourite is “Fantastically Great Woman” by Kate Pankhurst and “Ruby’s worry” by Tom Percival. She can read it over and over again excitedly. She can’t wait to visit the library again to borrow some more books next week!
