I wonder what happened to Simon's father. He talked about his father once, saying that he was sick and died. He never said anything more about his dad.

An angel is summoned to help the Shadowhunters and the angel gives them an angelsword. This angelsword can separate the bond between Sebastian and Jace, one of the good Shadowhunters. Pg.1-535

I don't think that Sebastian is dead. After Clary stabbed Jace with the Angel Sword, Sebastian ran off, but it broke the bond between them. So Jace can think for himself now and be with Clary, but Sebastian is still out there. Pg. 535

I thought the author did an excellent job getting right to the point and creating a suspenseful story. The author also wrote clearly, so I always knew what was going on. After I finished the book, I moved right on to the next book in the series. Pg.1-535

Plot

Jace and Sebastian are both missing. They have a bond that ties them together. This bond makes Sebastian feel pain if Jace gets hurt and vice-versa. Sebastian is the alpha of the two men and he has the ability to control Jace. Clary and Simon have to break the bond and save Jace. If they don't, Jace and other Shadowhunters will become Darkhunters.

I have never read any book like this. It combined religion, folk tales, and myths. I also liked how it got right to he action. I was always on the edge of my seat and wanted to read more and more. Pg.1-535
