There are many factors that make this bad for society. It takes hardworking tax dollars to pay for the many extra trials that the inmates go through and to have them even put onto death row. Many tax dollars are wasted on this act when the criminals can just be put into prison without parole. There are also many inmates who have been falsely accused and have accidentally been out on death row when they were accused of someone else's crime such as Ray Krone. There are many people like Ray  who have been accused of this, but without it we can prevent many more innocent deaths. Race also plays a role on death row where crimes against white people are more prone to get the death penalty than if it was another race. It also isn't proved to deter crime. These problems could disappear if we abolish the death penalty. I will also be working alone on this.

Some women have reported that men will even take advantage of the women where they refuse to pay them for their work, knowing that they could get away with it. If being a prostitute is considered a normal occupation, then it will ultimately encourage young kids to become one when they are older because of the money that comes with it, as well as the fact that there isn't any need for a further education. It should be noted that being a prostitute isn't a good occupation to have because it isn't long-term. Also, being a prostitute can take a major toll on one's mental and physical health. So many people suffer because we do not have a efficient health care system for those who need, we have seen first hand things like red lining, and systematic racism and poverty to keep certain minorities from getting out of poverty. This makes things like attaining health care so hard for them when everyone should have basic human health care. No one or kids should have to suffer like this. I believe prostitution should not be a legalized normal occupation. As much as individuals have their rights, there are many risks following. In the financial aspect, prostitution does not help as it keeps workers in a cycle of poverty. Because it is a more private and physically intimate occupation, it would be harder to protect workers like other legal jobs. I will be working with Lola Marquez, Rachel Yoo, and Karina Ledesma. For this video we concluded against the occupation and we want to in depth with the consequences.

While it is true that tax rates need to increase for this to happen, there are ways to do so without increasing the financial burdens on the middle and lower classes, who already struggle with finances. Implementing a system of free health care will ensure that the overall costs of care decrease and the quality of care is standardized and equal for everyone, regardless of their financial statuses. Other countries have already adopted similar policies with positive results, so it's time for the US to start taking steps in that direction as well.

If the United States government took even the slightest percentage away from military this could help fund a universal health care initiative. We need universal health care in the united states because private companies are bargaining lives by over pricing medicines which are made at reasonable  cost. The issue with universal health care is people believe that it will raise taxes but what they don't see is that it would take away from other expenses which make there lives harder.
