         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is the statue of David, it was made by the amazing sculptor Michelangelo. The Wool Guild in Florence wanted a giant statue of David. A huge block of marble was brought to Florence for the task. 2 sculptors tried to carve, but they failed. In 1501 Michelangelo was given an 18 foot tall piece of marble. And when it was finally finished Michelangelo thought it was the best sculpture ever made.</p>]]></description>

Davinci`s connection with Orsanmichele is through his teacher Verrocchio´s commissioned for Orsanmichele bronzes. Davinci sketched his inventions in his notebook that was more than 700 pages long. Sometimes in his notebooks he would write backwards.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is the Casa di Dante, it contains exhibits that illustrate life in Florence at the time of the great poet Dante Alighieri. Dante wrote a poem The Divine Comedy in the vernacular, native speech. Before the poem was published people had thought that the local language was not suitable for fine writing, but when the poem became celebrated the language Dante used became the language of the Italian Renaissance.</p>]]></description>

After he lost his government, he used his experiences in politics in Republican Rome. The Prince as satire, meant to inform and forewarn the general population about the strategies that the Prince uses to seize and maintain power.</p>]]></description>
