Each chapter is very different from one another besides one and two which involved see image issues but still had a lot of different circumstances. I was surprised by the shift in story in Opal's chapter and wasn't expecting it. They grew up hearing graphic stories about their people being killed and assimilated whereas with me and just the school systems in general today have a more "patriotic" education. POV can change how a reader interacts with the character and how the character's feelings are presented. I think the author does a good job of choosing between first person and third person for each character's chapter. It really changes how a reader can perceive a character's thoughts, feelings, and actions.
