nce-The goal is to study and understand the natural world 

Observation -The process of gathering information about events or processes in a careful, orderly manner.

Data K The information gathered during an experiment is referred to as DATA

Quantitative data-expressed as number, obtained by counting or measuring

Qualitative data - Descriptive, involves characteristics that can’t be easily measured.

Bias - prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair. 

Dependent variable-the variable that is observed and changes in response to the manipulated variable.

Control group/variable - The variable that does not get changed during the entire experiment.
