The Chief of State, or the Head of State, is the highest representative of a sovereign state, a figurehead representing a state or country. A big example of this is our current president, Joe Biden, or the former Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth.

Chief Executive

Chief Executive is the Head of government that may not exactly be a figurehead, but makes executive decisions for the country. this includes our president, but not things like the English monarchy. While the king is a figurehead, he doesn't have a lot of government responsibility.

The "Chief of party" is a person who represent and are a face of their political party. The current president of the U.S is the Chief of the Democratic party.

State Department
